Neobet reviews: what every source says about NEO.bet Ontario

Deadspin calls it worth using. Three other review sites no longer recommend it, and none says why. We lined up every named verdict with its date, checked what we could, and flagged what has gone stale.

The short version

Read enough Neobet reviews and you get two stories. In one, NEO.bet is a sportsbook with "consistently strong" odds that is "worth using" — Deadspin's verdict, updated 7 Sep 2026. In the other, three affiliate sites — Dimers, Strafe and Ballislife — show a banner saying NEO.bet is "no longer recommended", and none gives a reason. Ballislife's own conclusion still calls it a safe, secure and reputable site.

The stories are less opposed than they look. The reviewers mostly agree on what the product is; they part company over numbers that drift and details that have gone out of date. There is no score: a number would hide exactly the disagreements worth knowing about.

Every named verdict, with its date

Third-party NEO.bet reviews and what each one says
SourceDateWhat it says
Deadspin (Vinolin Naidoo)Updated 7 Sep 2026"Worth using"; odds "consistently strong", competitive for European soccer, the NBA and the NHL; app "clunky at times"; odds-format setting buried in settings; reports a Trustpilot rating of 4.4, "Excellent"
Dimers — Ontario casinoUpdated 26 Oct 2026"No longer recommended" banner, no reason given; "over 1000 games" from about ten studios; live tables mostly Pragmatic Play; one RNG table game noted
Dimers — sportsbookUpdated 2 Oct 2026Same banner; 22 sports; live-betting layout cramped; C$10 minimum withdrawal; 24–48 hours average processing
StrafeNo date noted"No longer recommended" banner, no reason given; "You won't find any live streaming here"
BallislifeNo date noted"No longer recommended" banner, no reason given; its conclusion still calls NEO.bet safe, secure and reputable
next.ioNo date notedOver 25 sports, Canadian leagues including the CFL; system bets including the Heinz; C$20 minimum withdrawal; says the Android app must be sideloaded (now out of date)

Sources: each review's own page. "No date noted" means we did not record an update date for that page, so treat its details as of unknown age. The Trustpilot figure is Deadspin's; we could not load Trustpilot to confirm it. Amounts in Canadian dollars.

Of the verdicts we can quote, Deadspin's is the only clear endorsement; we cite next.io for its facts rather than a headline verdict.

What the app stores say

App-store ratings are the nearest thing to a verdict from players themselves, and NEO.bet's are low. We read both listings on 1 Nov 2026.

Look at the counts before the stars. Thirty-three ratings and seven reviews are tiny samples; a handful of unhappy, or happy, users can move them noticeably. They point in a direction — lukewarm, in line with Deadspin's "clunky at times" — but they are not a measurement. Google's "Adults only 18+" label is its own category; Ontario's legal age is 19. Our NEO.bet app page covers installation and requirements.

Where reviewers agree

The sportsbook is the point. Deadspin counted 274 betting lines on a single Senators vs. Maple Leafs game. Dimers' sportsbook review lists the CFL, NFL, NBA and NHL, same game parlays and a "community parlay" feature. The next.io review stresses Canadian coverage — the NHL, the CFL including the Grey Cup, the Raptors, the Blue Jays, Toronto FC — and system bets such as 2/3 and 3/4. Our NEO.bet betting page covers the markets and features.

Support chat is quick. Deadspin describes 24/7 live chat. Dimers says NEO.bet promises replies within two minutes, which matched its test, though its casino reviewer had to enter an email address first.

The casino is modest. About ten studios, per Dimers; "more than 100" live tables, mostly Pragmatic Play; and Blackjack Neo from Relax Gaming the only RNG table game noted. No source contradicts that. The slot side is on our NEO.bet slots page.

Traditional sports are not streamed. Strafe: "You won't find any live streaming here." Deadspin does praise an esports "Videostream" feature, so the fair summary is that hockey and football are not streamed while some esports may be.

Where they disagree, or have gone out of date

Most are counts that change, pages written at different times, or marketing numbers repeated unchecked.

On casino size, the operator's own number is the lower one, so read 750 and 1,000 as a size class. Daily against monthly events is a huge gap that we cannot settle from outside the province; treat the scale as marketing, and the 274 lines Deadspin counted on one NHL game as better evidence. The withdrawal minimum and fees are settled by NEO.bet's cashier, not by any review, ours included. And the Canadian App Store listing was first released on 7 Oct 2025, so Dimers' 3.6 likely came from a different or older listing.

How to read an affiliate review — including this one

Most NEO.bet reviews are written by sites that earn a commission when a reader opens an account through their links. This site is one of them, and says so in its footer. That does not make a review wrong, but a recommendation is also a business arrangement, so trust the parts you can check.

The banners. On affiliate sites, banners like these typically follow a commercial change. None of the three gives a reason, and we leave it there; Ballislife's page shows a "no longer recommended" banner and a conclusion calling the site safe, secure and reputable sitting side by side.

The dates. A review is a snapshot. The sideloading advice on next.io shows how quickly a detail ages, and an undated page gives you no way to tell.

The bonus figures. Standard 2.05 of the AGCO's Registrar's Standards for Internet Gaming bars advertising inducements to the public, and BetMGM Canada's $110,000 penalty involved sign-up inducements offered through marketing affiliates in a public forum. Read any Ontario-facing review that leads with a bonus figure with that in mind; our sign-up bonus guide explains why we print none.

Checking a NEO.bet review yourself

  1. Find the review's update date. If there is none, treat its numbers as of unknown age.
  2. Look the operator up in iGaming Ontario's operator directory: "Neo.bet", operated by "Reactive Betting Ltd.", Casino and Sports Betting.
  3. Compare any game or sports count with NEO.bet's own App Store screenshots.
  4. Open the app listings yourself and see how many ratings sit behind the stars.
  5. Skip bonus figures; the current offer is shown inside NEO.bet's own site and app.

The directory check takes seconds, and it answers whether a site is legal in Ontario at all.

The regulatory record

Reviewers can argue about odds and lobbies; the registration is a matter of record. NEO.bet's CFL press release of 1 Aug 2023 says on.neobet.ca is operated by Reactive Betting Ltd., licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario under OPIG registration number 1242835, and operating under an agreement with iGaming Ontario. iGaming Ontario's operator directory, stamped "accurate as of September 1, 2026" and re-read by us on 1 Nov 2026, lists "Neo.bet", operated by "Reactive Betting Ltd.", for Casino and Sports Betting.

We searched the AGCO's published enforcement news and found no monetary penalty naming Reactive Betting Ltd. as of 1 Nov 2026. That is a statement about what we found, not a promise about the future.

Registration is the floor, not a recommendation

An AGCO registration tells you NEO.bet may take bets from players in Ontario and answers to the province's regulator. It does not tell you whether the odds, the app or the casino suit you. That is what reviews are for — read with their dates.

Our assessment, without a score

No star rating, no mark out of ten — just what the sources above, taken together, support.

  • Strength A clean public record: AGCO-registered (OPIG 1242835), listed by iGaming Ontario, and no AGCO monetary penalty naming Reactive Betting Ltd. found as of 1 Nov 2026.
  • Strength Sportsbook depth — 274 lines on one NHL game per Deadspin — and odds Deadspin calls "consistently strong".
  • Strength Quick live chat: replies within two minutes in Dimers' test, 24/7 according to Deadspin.
  • Strength A slot lobby you can sort by RTP and volatility, per Dimers.
  • Weakness A modest casino: 750 or 1,000-odd games depending on the source, mostly Pragmatic Play live tables, almost no RNG table games.
  • Weakness Low app ratings — 3.2 on iOS, 2.7 on Android, on small samples — and an app Deadspin found "clunky at times".
  • Weakness No streaming of traditional sports, per Strafe.
  • Unverified The Trustpilot 4.4, "Excellent" rating: reported by Deadspin; we could not load Trustpilot to confirm it.

Put together: if you bet mainly on sports, especially hockey and the CFL, the reviews give you solid reasons to look at NEO.bet. If you mainly play casino games, table games above all, they give you equally solid reasons to compare it with a bigger lobby first.

Frequently asked questions

Is NEO.bet legit in Ontario?

Yes. Its Ontario site, on.neobet.ca, is run by Reactive Betting Ltd., registered with the AGCO under OPIG registration 1242835 and listed in iGaming Ontario's operator directory for casino and sports betting. We found no AGCO monetary penalty naming the company as of 1 Nov 2026.

Why do some sites say NEO.bet is no longer recommended?

Dimers, Strafe and Ballislife each show a "no longer recommended" banner on their NEO.bet reviews, and none of them gives a reason. Ballislife's own conclusion still calls NEO.bet a safe, secure and reputable site.

What are NEO.bet's app store ratings?

On 1 Nov 2026 the NEO.bet Canada app showed 3.2 out of 5 from 33 ratings on the Canadian App Store, and the Android app showed 2.7 stars from 7 reviews on Google Play. Both are very small samples.

What is NEO.bet's Trustpilot rating?

Deadspin's review, updated 7 Sep 2026, reports a Trustpilot rating of 4.4, "Excellent". We could not load Trustpilot to confirm it, so treat it as Deadspin's figure.

Do reviews agree on how many games NEO.bet has?

No. NEO.bet's own App Store screenshot says over 750 casino games, while Dimers counted over 1,000 in October 2026. Counts drift as games come and go, so read both as a mid-sized lobby.

Does this site give NEO.bet a score?

No. We report what named reviewers and the app stores say, with their dates, and give a plain list of strengths and weaknesses instead of a rating.
